Complex primary general… excuse

Posted on Tuesday February 28, 2006 at 3:23 pm.

I know it’s not apparent from my posting volume so far, but I’m a little drowsy today. I have a good reason, though— I got up at 6:30 and walked to HUP to start the “clinical” part of my clinical preceptorship course.

I’m working with Brian Litt, an MD neurologist who spends half of his time doing research in the BE department (neuroengineering, specifically), and the other half in the Penn Epilepsy Center as a clinician.

I didn’t get to spend as much time at the hospital as I would have liked; I had to make it back to campus for a seminar. But I’m looking forward to more clinic hours, and starting in the lab.

It’s too bad this had to happen to Dr. Nicoll. He’s a super-nice guy, or he was last year, at least.

Winkelstein deserves it though. (Sorry.)

And I want one of those shirts like you wouldn’t believe.

A losing strategery

Really, Sherlock? Bush says bin Laden tape aided re-election.

Is it bad that thinking about November 2004 still makes my head hurt?

How’s this for a scary headline? Sen. Clinton Says Rove Obsesses About Her

And relatedly, Please god, don’t let Hillary be the Dems’ nominee in 2008.

Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade spoof. Worth a watch.

Sorry I haven’t been posting much recently. Been caught up with lab reports and the Bloomers show— it’s tech week, so the show is this weekend. It takes up a ton of time.

But in return, I give you this: a Contract of Wifely Expectations, drawn up by one Travis Frey of Iowa.

Yikes.

Yeah, that is funny

I think Yahoo has a sense of humor: this article (Hunter Shot by Cheney Has Heart Attack) was listed right next to this one (White House Finds Humor in Hunting Mishap).

Nice.

Whatta combo…

I know everyone’s already posted to The Lego Suicides, but for some reason, I just saw/watched it.

Morbid sense of humor indeed. Very morbid. But since they’re using LEGOs, it’s nerdy and hilarious.

I know you won’t, but please don’t forget to watch the last four Fox episodes of Arrested Development tonight! They’re on against the opening ceremonies, but really, who needs to see all that?

And remember, Save Our Bluths.

Booouuuunce!

Nerdy fun: F/A-18 Drop Test, in which a full-size jet is elevated to twenty feet with tires spinning and dropped.

Gives us engineers something to shoot for, I guess.
