Auburnomics

Kind of a strange article about the Von Mises Institute, a center in Auburn (AL) for free-market (Austrian) economics.

  1. Fantastic article. I recomend a visit to the Mises anytime you are back in Auburn. Its right by Mama Goldbergs, if you weren’t already aware.

  2. I’m actually in Auburn now, but I’m leaving pretty soon. Maybe I’ll stop by next time out of perverse curiousity— from the article and reading the Mises website, Austrian economics seems a little too anarcho-capitalist for my taste.

  3. mises was an anarcho capitalist, an interesting philosophy indeed. however, the institute’s focus seems more broad in nature. you can learn lots about all of the great proponents of austrian economics (including my favorite, hayek). highly recomended, if not for just a short browse around.
