Fling was flung

Wow— tickets for the Ben Folds concert I’ve been talking about sold out in two days. I’m just glad I went before class yesterday and not afterwards.

When I figured that it was going to sell out fast, I panicked and got two. I get the feeling that my extra has just increased in value…

And who knew that people still listened to Third Eye Blind? Some dp.com commenter said that he guessed that twice as many people were getting tickets for 3EB than Ben Folds.

Of course, as I said in reply, it’s fine with me if two-thirds of the crowd leaves after the opening act.

Update:
And now, of course, people are whining about not being able to get tickets. The fact of the matter is this: if it really mattered to people, they would have gone on Monday or woken up before noon on Tuesday. I figure it’ll make a better concert, with the people who are there really wanting to be there— buying as soon as possible or paying a scalper.

And to the “Penn will rue the day…!” riot-suggesting commenters… give me a break. The people that would have cared that much, again, got tickets early.
