I guess the fact that I picked up my cap and gown and hood today means that I really am graduating in t-minus 47 days:
But seriously… how do you pick a shirt and tie to match a red and blue hood with gold border? Should I go for the rare “total clash” and wear green, orange, and purple too?

I don’t understand why you get a hood for an BS rather than a graduate degree.
But the hood covers up most of the shirt and tie. I don’t even know if you will see the tie. Tell your women friends to make sure they wear a button in the front shirt or dress as the hood will choke you if you don’t attach it to a button. These things are made for men!

I agree the hood is a little much for a BS but i’d say white, red or black would be acceptable. I’m not even attempting to match my Carolina blue robe. When is your graduation?

Oh, pff. I didn’t see you complaining four years ago, and if it’s a bit much for a bachelor’s…
I graduate on May 14th, I think. That’s the day of the university-wide commencement. The school-specific ceremony might be on Sunday. I only walk with other engineers.
