So, against my better judgment (and any sense of shame), I’ve found myself drawn into an English teen drama called Skins.
It really defies any American comparison, except maybe the O.C., but lower-middle class, and with more drugs and nudity (I assume; I’ve never seen an episode of O.C.).
Just started the second series. Really not that badly-made, and certainly addictive.

Thanks for the link; it sounds about right, though hopefully he’ll make fun of Palin this week as much as, or more than, the 24-hour networks. Though I’m not sure that counts as a FALSE sense of urgency.
